Our studio take of this song. Sample from "the Waterboy" with Adam Sandler. All rights to that sample owned by Happy Madison or whatever, but honestly, fuck Adam Sandler. Not Kathy Bates though. She's a badass. Have you seen Misery? Shit's intense. She won an Oscar for it. Beat not only Julia Roberts, but Meryl Streep too. Let me repeat that: she beat Meryl Fucking Streep for Best Actress in 1990. The Academy Awards exist only to give Meryl Streep more statuary to put around her house. That upset is fucking huge.
Anyway, this is the only song we recorded with vocals on it. It might tell you why we're an instrumental band...and not a particularly good one at that, since I pretty much leave my Big Muff pedal on and mash my open E string the entire song. Ryan and Max wrote this one almost entirely without me, and they're like the nicest guys in the world, which makes it interesting that it's so aggressive. I actually refused to let us practice it when my parents were around because the first time I heard it, it sounded so damned evil. Oh, yeah, that reminds me. We never had a practice space. When we weren't annoying everyone at my apartment complex in college, we were in my parents' basement annoying my Dad and scaring the living shit out of their cat.
